My other fun thing – On Monday we got a very special invite!

DSC_0719

One of the ladies I was doing my practicum with (who is amazing for the record) invited us to see her dog’s, few hour old puppies!!    There were 9 of them in total and it was incredible.

DSC_0708

I have never seen anything like it!! 9 little bundles of grunting, eye’s closed cuteness!

DSC_0709

The pictures aren’t the best, as I didn’t want to disturb mama too much!   She was amazing though – very gentle and sweet.

DSC_0710

I could have stayed for hours!! But both mama and my friend were pretty tired as the whole birthing process took from 10 – 3am!

DSC_0716

DSC_0717

DSC_0715

It was such a beautiful thing!

I asked if I could come visit to take pictures of them as they start to grow up!

She is selling them, if you need a little golden retriever love in your life! And you would know they came from a very loving home!!

I promise to post more pictures as they turn into little bundles of fluffy love!

By now everyone should know about my love for PIZZA!

DSC_0662

The hubby has been gone for the whole week Sad smile but I was lucky enough to have one of my BFF’s in town visiting and we had an AMAZING TIME!  She kept me busy!

One night we decided to do a PIZZA party and fun happened!

The one thing that I love about this friend – whenever we are together we laugh bunches – just like we did when we were 15.  On top of that, she is a photographer,  foodie and works with kids – so we have lots in common.

Anyways, pizza making was no different – we had a great time!

DSC_0650

DSC_0661

DSC_0667

Our pizza’s were very different – but they both looked amazing non the less;

T’s included Italian salad dressing as the base – mushrooms and cheese!

DSC_0665

Mine was hummus base – zucchini, onion, mushrooms, artichoke, sundried tomatoes, fresh tomatoes – Herb de Providence.

DSC_0663

So good!

DSC_0673

DSC_0674

DSC_0680

Who says pizza with no cheese isn’t good?  When the hummus cooks – it gives the feeling of cheese to the pizza – at least the creaminess! Smile

This pizza is awesome cold too!!

I’d share the crust recipe (the BEST crust recipe I’ve found) but it’s found on the back of the pizza yeast jar!

Hope you enjoyed!

ps. Wednesday I’ll have up all my Trader Joe’s goodies!  Rumour has it that the hubby brought me back TONS of goodies! SOOOOOOOOOOOO excited!

What I’m loving Saturday!

Thank you so much for the “DONE SCHOOL” wishes!  You guys are an amazing bunch!! I almost don’t know what I’ll do with myself,  I’m sure I will figure something out though!  I know the past 10 months of sitting on my beeeeeeeeehind has helped me gain about 10-15 pounds (UGG).   Motivation time – Smoothies – zumba – fresh juice – walking – maybe running?  That’s my future!

Anywhoo.. moving on…………

It seemed like everyone really enjoyed my last “What I’m loving post” so here is another set of photos from my Pintrest.

Best book on Earth! Seriously if you haven’t read it… it has all the answers to life in it! Smile image

So I went to the Thrift store and it was $5 bag day!  Among the other things I got,  I got a shirt very similar to this but in black… what do I wear it with?  (it JUST covers my butt)

It’s FRIDAY

Have you heard this song yet?

It is SO incredibly terrible, but catchy at the same time.  Every time Friday rolls around, I sing it all day!  Ugg..

It’s Friday  - you know what that means?  It’s my LAST DAY of practicum and school!! I am a free women as of 2:45 today!!  I cannot believe I made it, this has been one of the most challenging years of my entire life!!

School was something I kept putting off, in fear of failing.  I never felt smart, as well as I have never been good at finishing things that I have started!   Well folks, I did it, and with a mainly B-/A average to boot!! Smile

Graduation is on the 23rd, and you be I will be posting photos!

Anyways! I hope you enjoyed yesterday’s random post, because I have another one for you today!

Now introducing…

More curry!! – Haha yes, I am a curry freak!! And Dave is too, so why not?

This one had tofu, veggies and pineapple! YUM

DSC_0369

I also took a stab at the chickpea cookies floating around blogland lately!  I think they originally came from the lovely Purple Bird Dog blog!

DSC_0390

I didn’t follow the rules – haha – no big surprise!

I used some different ingredients including.

DSC_0385

and

DSC_0384

BTW – this is soooooooooooooo good!!

Otherwise I followed the recipe!

DSC_0386

I was madly in love with them straight out of the oven, and then fell out of love after they weren’t warm anymore.  They ended up going moldy on the counter (oops).

I really loved them at first though, I’m not sure why I stopped eating them,  I will have to give the recipe a go again.  I did boast they were my favourite cookies ever.   Weird.

________________________________________

There have been lots more kale chips in my world lately too… I do love them (to the moon and back). Once again, if you have tried store bought and gotten turned off, make them yourself, I promise they are better!

DSC_0422

And TACOS!  Dave’s brilliant idea!

DSC_0424

Ground turkey and zucchini – with taco seasoning, salsa, cabbage and daily cheese (icky).

DSC_0426

Served with a bunch of greens and watered down kale chips sauce and craisins!

_______________________________________________

Another super easy quick meal.

This is one of my favourite pub meals.

Thai chicken wraps.

DSC_0428

I took left over chicken and  cooked it in a pan with stir fry noodles and sweet chilli sauce!

Wrapped up with a piece of lettuce and wrapped in a wrap!

It drips all down your arms and is fantastic!! (not lunch friendly though, unless you pack the wrap separately!)

_______________________________________

Lastly

Lance wants to say hi!

Smirky…

DSC_0413

Handsome smiles!

DSC_0414

His distracted – yet sophisticated face!

DSC_0415

Well now that I am almost a free women – I am hoping to do lots of cooking and summer recipe creating (aka – hopefully lots of raw goodies!).

Any suggestions?

Happy Friday – enjoy your weekend!! Smile

Favourite quote for today and a good thing to remember…
