A beautiful place.

Last night D and I took a drive.  And I came to an amazing discovery – Newfoundland is one of the most beautiful, serene places in the world.

The sun was setting and we headed out across the bay and I went wild taking photos of all the amazing moments…

Enjoy.

I got very sad when the sun finally went down… I look over 300 photos in about an hour.  All of these photos are the view from a bunch of different communities around the bay.

These little quaint towns have the feeling of living in the 50’s.   You can tell family is important and  life is still simple.  It was beautiful, and humbling.

Hope you enjoyed.

I’d love to know if you’ve been to a place that slowed you down a bit?  Or took your breath away with how beautiful it was?

  2. Although I’ve had many BC moments that have taken my breath away, I know there are plenty of wonderful places all over the world, particularly in Atlantic Canada. The serenity you discovered in Newfoundland shows clearly in your photos. The water looks translucent, tranquil and wrinkle-free. :)

  3. Gorgeous photos! I love the east coast, too. Nova Scotia is among the most beautiful places I've been to.

  4. Absolutely gorgeous! My mom is originally from Newfoundland. This makes me want to take another trip back east soon!

  5. One place that took my breath away was a beach in the Dominican. It was nearly empty, and it was the most picture perfect scene I have ever witnessed. The sand felt smooth and hard as I walked on it, but when I picked it up it was like soft clay. Fresh water was bubbling up from it. My friend and I did cartwheels in the sand, and we felt completely free.

    Your pictures are lovely!!
